Job summary

USA Clinics Group is hiring a Vascular Sonographer to perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound studies with emphasis on the lower extremities. The role requires a graduate of an accredited vascular ultrasound program and credentials such as RVT/RVS/RPhS or eligibility within 90 days.

You will operate in a multi-clinic setting, travel between Altoona, State College, and Johnstown clinics, and provide high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Ultrasound program.
• Current RVT, RVS, or RPhS credential or eligibility to obtain within 90 days.
• Experience with venous insufficiency, reflux, venous mapping and duplex studies preferred.
• Ability to independently perform vascular ultrasound examinations and produce diagnostic images.
• Strong communication skills and patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound studies including venous insufficiency, reflux, venous mapping, and duplex exams.
• Conduct additional vascular imaging such as carotid, arterial duplex, ABI, DVT, and PVR testing when applicable.
• Independently perform and document examinations maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Support patient care within vein clinics or vascular imaging environments.
• Utilize PACS/EMR to document studies, manage images, and support workflow.
• Apply general ultrasound knowledge including OB/GYN and abdominal modalities when appropriate.

Position Summary

As a Vascular Sonographer at USA Clinics Group, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality ultrasound examinations focused on the vascular system. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough vascular ultrasound assessments on patients, specifically targeting the lower extremities, while ensuring an exceptional patient experience throughout the process.

Position Details

• Location: Floats between our Altoona, State College, and Johnstown clinics.
• Schedule: Part-Time (Monday-Thursday) between 25-32 hours per week.
• Must be able to travel train, out of state, for the first 3+ weeks.
• Compensation: $40-$47/hr based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound studies including venous insufficiency, venous reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex examinations.
• Perform additional vascular imaging studies if applicable such as carotid, arterial duplex, ABI, DVT, and PVR testing.
• Independently perform and document ultrasound examinations while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
• Support patient care within a vein clinic, vascular laboratory, or related vascular imaging environment.
• Utilize PACS and EMR systems to document studies, manage images, and support clinical workflow.
• Apply broad sonography knowledge when appropriate, including experience with general ultrasound modalities such as OB/GYN and abdominal.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Ultrasound program, required.
• Current RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist), RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist), or RPhS (Registered Phlebology Sonographer) credential, or eligibility to obtain certification within 90 days is required.
• Demonstrated experience performing venous insufficiency, reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex studies is preferred.
• Ability to independently perform vascular ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality diagnostic images, required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a patient-focused healthcare environment, required.
