Job summary

Mercy is seeking a perioperative RN to utilize the nursing process for patient care and maintain professional accountability across assigned patients. The role requires coordinating care with other departments while preserving patient rights and confidentiality, in alignment with Mercy standards.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing program graduate, Missouri RN licensure, and at least 1 year of perioperative experience, with BLS/ACLS within the first year; CNOR/RN-FA preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year perioperative nursing experience.
• BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred.

Position Details:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensure: Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Experience: Must have a minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience.
• Certifications: BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• Other: Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing.
• Preferred: CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
