Job summary

Thisiscny in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Radiologic Tech for the Endovascular Lab. The role focuses on vascular angiography and interventions under the guidance of Vascular Surgeons, with duties ranging from patient greeting to image quality control.

Responsibilities include operating radiology equipment, QA in the Heart and Vascular Institute, and documenting data in information systems. On-call days are required for a full-time position; NYS license/ARRT and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent; NYS license/registration and ARRT must be obtained within 1 year.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Candidates with no experience may be considered for entry level SL1/SL2 at a commensurate salary.

Responsibilities

• Participate in vascular angiography and interventions under vascular surgeons.
• Greet patients, explain procedures, position patients and set exposure factors to obtain quality radiographs while maintaining radiation safety.
• Operate imaging equipment daily and perform QA in the Heart and Vascular Institute.
• Report malfunctions and manage procedure inventory and supplies.
• Input information into required information systems for documentation and billing, collaborate with nursing staff.

Education

AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent

NYS license/registration

ARRT certification (must obtain within 1 year of appointment)

CPR certification
