Radiologic Tech - Endovascular Lab at Upstate Medical University
Job Summary: The radiologic technologist will participate primarily in vascular angiography and interventions under the direction of the Vascular Surgeons following hospital policies and procedures. Procedures may also include cardiac interventions, biopsies, nonvascular interventions, intraoperative procedures, and pain management procedures. The technologist will greet patients, explain procedures, position patients, and set proper exposure factors to obtain quality radiographs while maintaining radiation safety. Responsibilities include daily operation of radiology equipment and QA in the Heart and Vascular Institute, processing images, inputting information into required systems for documentation and billing, and reporting equipment malfunctions. The candidate will collaborate with nursing staff to care for patients in the Heart and Vascular Institute.
Minimum Qualifications: AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration, ARRT (must obtain within 1 year of appointment), and current CPR certification required.
Preferred Qualifications: One year experience as a radiologic technologist preferred.
Work Days: Days with on call requirement.
