Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a Vascular Access Technician to join our Vascular Access team. The role includes placing PIVs and dressing PICCs, working with the VAS RN, and providing occasional blood sample collection for Lab processing.

Ideal candidates have US-guided PIV experience or will be trained on the job. The schedule is 28 hours per week on nights, with every other weekend and holiday required.

Qualifications

• Two years of health care experience or completion of a related health care training program.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Place peripheral IVs (PIVs) and change PICC dressings as needed.
• Assist Vascular Access RN with procedures.
• Provide lab blood sample collection support when required.
• Support difficult to access lab and PIV tasks as needed.
