Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Vascular Access Specialist to independently place peripheral and central lines, including PICC insertions under ultrasound guidance, for inpatients and outpatients. The role requires strong bedside RRT experience and the ability to collaborate with a 13-14 member team.

The position is night-shift, rotating across North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO with occasional coverage at Fort Collins.

Qualifications

Associate or technical degree required; Banner Training for CVC insertions.
NBRC certification as RRT; state license as required.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
4 years of clinical experience as a RRT with at least 1 year PICC/CVC insertions.

Responsibilities

Provides and maintains peripheral and central venous access.
Inserts and maintains PICC lines with ultrasound guidance and imaging review.
Inserts and maintains all central lines and related procedures; maintains sterile technique and documentation.
Participates in quality initiatives and safety standards within the clinical service lines.
Acts as a resource to therapists and other healthcare practitioners regarding patient status and equipment.
Provides training and orientation to staff and patients; helps develop department policies.
