Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) seeks a Vascular Access Registered Nurse (RN) to provide consultation and services across inpatient and outpatient settings within Lahey Clinic. You will assess patients, recommend vascular access devices, and perform insertion, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of vascular access lines.

The role involves autonomy in a consultative capacity and ongoing development of advanced vascular access skills.

Qualifications

• Requires RN license and BLS certification.
• Minimum two years of related hospital or procedural experience preferred.
• ACLS certification required for Emergency Department role.

Responsibilities

• Provide vascular access consultation for inpatient and outpatient populations.
• Assess patients and recommend vascular access devices.
• Insert and manage PIVs, US-guided PIVs, midlines, PICCs, and IO devices.
• Perform vascular access procedures with evidence-based practices.
• Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and dress vascular access devices.
• Educate staff on device selection, maintenance, and best practices.
• Document care in the electronic medical record.
