Job summary

UCHealth in Loveland, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess and identify the most appropriate vascular access for patients, using the nursing process and UCHealth standards.

This on-site role requires collaboration with the care team to place PIVs, midlines, and ultrasound-guided access as needed, document in the EHR, educate staff and patients, and exercise clinical judgment in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• RN with state license and BLS/CPR certification
• 6 months of RN experience
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides vascular access services to UCHealth patients.
• Assess and determine appropriate vascular access device(s) in collaboration with the care team.
• Place peripheral and central venous access devices as needed and troubleshoot complications.
• Document vascular access in the electronic health record.
• Educate staff, patients and families; delegate care; may precept students or new staff.
