Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an experienced RN to serve as a vascular access expert and resource for staff. The role includes IV starts, PICC and central line management, infection control, and ongoing education to improve patient care and outcomes.

Eligible candidates will have an Associate Degree in Nursing, Georgia RN licensure, and PICC certification within six months. Two years RN experience and active professional participation are preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; certification for PICC line insertion due within six months of hire.
• Minimum two years of RN experience.
• Membership in professional organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist, mentor and consult staff on IV therapy and catheter care.
• Provide IV starts, manage PICC/central lines and related procedures.
• Educate staff and participate in VOICE councils and unit improvement efforts.
• Perform declotting, dressing changes and discontinuation of central venous catheters.
