Job summary
VTP, a national vascular access provider, seeks a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant to support hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home health patients. You will place PICCs, midlines and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance and provide vascular access expertise across diverse care settings.

Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with active license
- American Heart BLS Certification
- Minimum of 3 years acute care RN experience
- Experience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasound
- Experience in vascular access device management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs)
- Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements
- Must possess a smart phone
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites
- Must LOVE vascular access!
Responsibilities
- Place PICCs, midlines and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance
- Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation
- Assist with management of PICCs and vascular access devices
- Provide a wide range of vascular access services including port access, line removal and declotting
- Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs and vascular access devices
