Job summary

VTP is seeking experienced PICC RNs with strong, recent vascular access experience. Prior independent PICC insertion experience is required. As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will collaborate with customers' clinical teams to resolve venous access issues and support treatment objectives set by the treating physician.

Depending on the referral, you may work inside or outside the hospital setting. If you're seeking a different pace from 12-hour shifts, this role offers a focused, flexible

Qualifications

• Active, current RN license.
• PICC/midline/vascular access ultrasound placement experience.
• Ability to perform ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs).
• VAD management experience including care and troubleshooting.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Minimum 3 years of acute care RN experience.
• Must possess a smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance.
• Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation.
• Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices.
• Provide vascular access support services including port access, line removal, and declotting.
• Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines, and other CVADs.
