Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Etna, Ohio to drive efficiency in daily warehouse operations and guide the team through picking, packing, shipping, and forklift activity with a strong focus on safety.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in warehouse leadership, experience with RF scanners and Microsoft Office, and a high school diploma. The role offers weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) and growth opportunities within Ryder’s supply chain network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• 1+ year previous Team Lead experience preferred.
• 1+ year Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse experience preferred.
• RF scanner experience required or advanced preferred.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement for warehouse efficiency.
• Oversee loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving and forklift operations.
• Assign daily work to team members to optimize shift logistics.
• Motivate team toward KPI improvements using appropriate leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and tools for employees to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices in the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork and daily reports.

• Hourly Pay $18.00 per hour

• Overtime Pay $27.00 per hour when working overtime

• Schedule: First Shift Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred

• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred

• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred

• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred

• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required

• Valid forklift operator's license certified

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Effective leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.

• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.

• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI's) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.

• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.

• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.

• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).

• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
