Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Head Wrestling Coach for the high school program. The position runs in the winter season from November to February, with responsibilities for team leadership and program development.

You will oversee training, scheduling, compliance with VHSL rules, and collaboration with the athletic director to support student athletes academically and athletically.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level.
• Completion or enrollment in CPR and First Aid training.
• Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Prefer Virginia teaching license candidate or full-time classified employee.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining high academic standards for student athletes.
• Assist athletic director and principal in hiring/retention of coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate performance of assistant coaches.
• Coordinate with athletic director to ensure athlete insurance coverage.
• Lead training, conditioning, and performance of varsity team; supervise assistants.
• Promote sportsmanship, pride in school and community.
• Attend all varsity contests and supervise athletes at events.
