Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a Wrestling Head Coach for Woodgrove High School. The position supports the varsity program and oversees coaching staff during the winter season (November–February).

Qualifications

Coaching experience at high school or college level.
Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in current CPR/First Aid course.
Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time LCPS employee.

Responsibilities

Maintain high academic standards for student athletes.
Assist athletic director and principal in hiring/retention of assistant coaches.
Direct, supervise and evaluate assistant coaches.
Coordinate with athletic director for athlete insurance coverage.
Work with head coaches to operate a balanced athletic program.
Foster values of athletics, sportsmanship, and community pride.
Direct training, conditioning and performance of varsity team; supervise assistants.
Be a positive influence on athletic staff and teams.
Attend varsity contests and supervise athletes at JV and freshman contests.
