Qualifications

• Educational preparation relevant to area of instruction.
• Prior relevant successful experience preferred.
• Such other qualifications or alternatives as the Principal and Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Professional knowledge: stay informed with best research and share with other coaches.
• Planning for instruction: set goals for sport and develop practice schedules.
• Use of materials and equipment: use current technologies to enhance coaching.
• Effectiveness of instruction: maintain high learning standards and assess progress.
• Learning environment: create respectful, high-standard learning atmosphere.
• Effective organizational relationships: communicate with players, parents, staff and admins.
• Contributions to students beyond the classroom: be available for conferences.
• Contributions to the school and teaching profession: collaborate to identify athletic improvement areas.
• Enforcement and compliance with regulations: observe program rules.
