• Educational preparation relevant to area of instruction.
• Prior relevant successful experience preferred.

• Contribute to professional knowledge and practice through development activities and share information with other coaches.
• Maintain and incorporate best instructional materials and techniques.
• PLANNING FOR INSTRUCTION
• Set goals for sport and develop/maintain practice schedules.
• Develop and share practice schedules according to goals.
• USE OF MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT
• Incorporate current technologies to enhance instructional strategies and player skills.
• EFFECTIVENESS OF INSTRUCTION
• Promote active learning with high standards and clear goals; adjust instruction to help all players improve.
• LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
• Establish an atmosphere of respect and support learning.
• DESIGN instructional experiences for high performance and ownership.
• EFFECTIVE ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
• Communicate with players, parents, staff and administration professionally.
• PARTICIPATE in team/staff meetings.
• CONTRIBUTIONS TO STUDENTS BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
• Be available for conferences with players/parents.
