Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and community.
• Working with district/state/federal laws and regulations relating to child welfare and attendance

Responsibilities

• Confer with School Operations Managers and Principals on attendance and welfare matters.
• Communicate with parents, students, staff to provide information on attendance requirements.
• Maintain attendance records, schedules, and files for reliable information per district policies.
• Prepare reports and letters regarding school/district activities and procedures.
• Process attendance documents for dissemination to appropriate parties.
• Respond to inquiries from staff, parents, probation officers, other schools, or students.
• Recommend pupil referrals to the school principal or designee for agencies and institutions.
• Assist the Attendance Team with coordinating and submitting referrals to the District Attendance Review Board.
• Participate in in-service training of school personnel on attendance and welfare.
• Enforce district attendance rules and regulations.
