Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and community.
• Working with district/state/federal laws and regulations relating to child welfare and attendance

Responsibilities

• Confer regularly with School Operations Managers, School Principal or their designees regarding attendance.
• Communicate with parents, students, staff in person, by telephone or letter on attendance issues.
• Maintain attendance records, schedules and files for reliable information per district policies.
• Prepare reports and letters regarding school activities and procedures.
• Process attendance documents for dissemination to appropriate parties.
• Respond to inquiries from staff, parents, probation officers, other schools, students.
• Recommend pupil referrals to authorities and agencies as directed.
• Assist with coordinating referrals to District School Attendance Review Board.
• Participate in in-service training related to student attendance and welfare.
• Enforce district rules and regulations related to school attendance.
