Qualifications

• Associate degree required.

• Working with district/state/federal laws and regulations relating to child welfare and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Confer regularly with School Operations Managers, School Principal or their designees regarding attendance and welfare matters.
• Communicate with parents, students, staff by in person, phone or letter about attendance issues and notification requirements.
• Maintain attendance records, schedules and files for reliable information in compliance with district policies.
• Prepare reports and letters for disseminating information on school/district activities and procedures.
• Process attendance documents for dissemination to appropriate parties.
• Respond to inquiries from staff, parents, probation officers, other schools, or students for information or directions.
• Recommend pupil referrals to the school principal or designee for agencies related to child welfare.
• Assist the School Attendance Team with coordinating referrals to the District School Attendance Review Board.
• Participate in in-service training of school personnel on attendance and welfare.
• Enforce district rules related to school attendance.
