Qualifications

• Previous tennis playing experience required.
• Tennis coaching experience preferred.
• Experience working with high school-aged students (14-17 years old) is a plus

• Ability to connect with and motivate student-athletes.

• Commitment to the full season schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach with planning and running daily practices
• Lead drills and skill-development sessions for players of varying experience levels
• Teach tennis fundamentals, match strategy, and sportsmanship
• Support players' athletic, personal, and leadership development
• Help foster a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture
• Assist with match-day preparation, lineup management, and athlete supervision
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes
• Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and athletic department staff

This coach should be comfortable taking initiative, leading drills independently, and proactively supporting the Head Coach throughout the season.
