Job summary

Southern Wells Varsity Softball Head Coach position under ReNEW Schools in Indiana is seeking an experienced coach to lead the program. Duties include preparing the varsity team, developing players, and coordinating scouting reports to boost competitiveness.

You will work with school administration to advocate for student-athletes, maintain team statistics with local media, and complete Indiana/IHSAA athletic safety training before working with athletes.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at the high school level preferred.
• Excellent communication with players and parents required.
• Ability to work with school administration to advocate for student-athletes in the community.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the varsity team to be competitive at the varsity level. This would include the preparation of team and individual scouting reports.
• Developing individual player skills and incorporating them into the competitive team concept.
• Establishing both short and long term goals for the girl’s softball program that includes player and coaches development at the high school,junior high, and elementary levels.
• Maintaining and communicating team and player accomplishments/statistics with both local and state media outlets.
