Job summary

Southern Wells Varsity Softball Head Coach position under ReNEW Schools in Indiana is seeking an experienced coach to lead the program. Duties include preparing the varsity team, developing players, and coordinating scouting reports to boost competitiveness.

You will work with school administration to advocate for student-athletes, maintain team statistics with local media, and complete Indiana/IHSAA athletic safety training before working with athletes.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at the high school level preferred.
• Excellent communication with players and parents required.
• Ability to work with school administration to advocate for student-athletes in the community.

Responsibilities

• Establishing both short and long term goals for the girl’s softball program that includes player and coaches development at the high school,junior high, and elementary levels.

• Communication skills needed to convey expectations with players and parents.
• Collaboratively working with the school administration to ensure that student athletes are well represented on the court and in the community.

Education/Training:

• All athletic safety training courses required by the State of Indiana and IHSAA must be completed before beginning to work with athletes.
