Job summary

Nampa School District is seeking an Assistant Coach for softball within the Athletics department. This temporary role involves motivating athletes, developing skills and teamwork, and modeling fair play and character.

You will assist with practice plans, game rosters, safety, and coordination of transportation and officials while ensuring student safety and compliance with policies and eligibility requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Teaching/certification in Idaho or equivalent recognized coaching credentials preferred.
• CPR/First aid certification required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Attend tryouts, practices, and events; supervise students on related field trips.
• Assist with practice schedules, game rosters, and positions.
• Coach softball and track player development; track performance and stats.
• Coordinate transportation, scheduling, and officials for competitions.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment; uphold concussion policy and eligibility.
