Job summary

Roland Park Country School, located in Baltimore, MD, seeks an experienced Varsity Softball Assistant Coach for the spring season. This part-time paid role reports to the Director of Athletics and the Varsity Softball Head Coach, with practices from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

• Develops the skills of all student-athletes to prepare them for competition.
• Works with athletic staff on scheduling, game day prep, workouts, uniforms, and facilities.
• Communicates effectively with all constituencies.
• Supports RPCS community life including academics, arts and the entire athletic department.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics or Head Coach.

Job description

Roland Park Country School located in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Varsity Softball Assistant Coach. As a school committed to educating and supporting the growth and development of each student, RPCS fosters an environment where students thrive by lifting each other up and leading for the greater good.

This is a part-time paid position that reports to the Director of Athletics and the Varsity Softball Head Coach. The Upper School spring sports season begins February 16 and runs through early May. Practices are held Monday-Friday, 4:00-6:00p.m. Competitions are also held on weekdays; times vary. A specific schedule can be provided to applicants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports and executes the vision for the softball program at RPCS as communicated by the Athletic Department and the Varsity Softball Head Coach.
• Fosters strong relationships with the athletes and inspires them to achieve their best.
• Implements proven coaching techniques and approaches that result in continued growth and success of the program.
• Develops the skills of all of the student-athletes in ways that prepare them for competition performance.
• Works in coordination with the athletic administrative team on scheduling, game day prep, out of season workouts, uniforms, and facilities.
• A strong communicator with all constituencies.
• An enthusiastic supporter of all aspects of the RPCS community life including academics, arts and the entire athletic department.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned from time to time by the Director of Athletics and/or the Varsity Softball Head Coach.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Stipend : $2,500 for season
