Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience in softball or a related sport is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of softball rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during the season.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Background check clearance as required by school district policies.
• A passion for youth development and commitment to fostering a positive team culture.

• Plan and conduct daily practice sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and game strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of the team for competitions, including game strategy and player assignments.
• Promote good sportsmanship and positive behavior among players, coaches, and parents.
• Monitor and evaluate player performance, providing constructive feedback to help athletes improve.
• Collaborate with the head coach and other coaching staff to ensure alignment in coaching philosophy and objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of team attendance, player statistics, and other relevant information.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities, schedules, and expectations.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members during practices and games.
• Assist in organizing team events, including fundraising activities and community outreach.
• Uphold and enforce school policies and regulations regarding athletics.
