Job summary

Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESCCO) in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an Assistant Varsity Lacrosse Coach to support the head coach and athletic staff. The role requires strong coaching knowledge, adherence to district rules, and the ability to develop players’ skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities include coordinating practices, maintaining reporting, ensuring proper paperwork and background checks, and upholding the standards outlined in the athletic handbook.

Qualifications

Background checks required: BCI and FBI.
Coaches Toolkit and coaching resources.
Pupil Validation Permit from Ohio Department of Education (ODE).
Copies of all certifications must be on file prior to coaching.

Responsibilities

Instruct athletes in fundamental lacrosse skills, strategy, and physical conditioning.
Upgrade coaching knowledge through clinics, observations, and consultations.
Coordinate and support high school and middle school coaching staff with the athletic director and principal.
Assist head coach with participant lists, bus times, parent permission, and game schedules.
Follow policies in the Athletic Handbook and meet criteria outlined in the job description.
Demonstrate sportsmanship, integrity, and respectful conduct at all times.
