Job summary

Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESCCO) – Columbus, OH is seeking a JH Track Coach to lead and develop the junior high track program. The role requires organizing the total sports program, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with district and state athletic policies.

The coach will oversee skill development, safety, and sportsmanship, while mentoring student-athletes to achieve personal and team goals. Experience in coaching and strong knowledge of track fundamentals are essential.

Qualifications

• Has ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport (major sports).
• Head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and stay updated with new theories.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training to achieve team and individual success.
• Serve as a role model for student-athletes through instruction and actions.
• Supervise head coaches, assistant coaches, and staff; coordinate with athletic director and principals.
• Ensure adherence to athletic policies and regulations; manage program budgeting and equipment.
