Job summary

Ashley Hall is seeking a dynamic, energetic assistant head coach to lead our Varsity Golf program on a seasonal, part‑time basis. This role focuses on building a competitive team, developing fundamentals, and fostering a positive environment for student-athletes.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of golf coaching or playing experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to growth for players both on and off the course.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years coaching or playing golf at high school, collegiate, or professional level.
• Strong understanding of golf fundamentals, including swing mechanics, short game, course management.
• Leadership, communication, and ability to mentor student-athletes.
• Willingness to commit afternoons, weekends, and travel for tournaments.
• PGA membership or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
• Collaborative with coaches and school staff to support the program.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes, ensuring they not only excel on the course but also grow as individuals.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that prioritizes the fundamentals of golf, including swing mechanics, short game, and mental performance.
• Plan and execute effective practices, ensuring players are continually improving their skills, and prepare the team for competition.
• Lead the team during tournaments, making strategic decisions that maximize performance and set a positive example.
• Focus on athlete development and life skills such as leadership, responsibility, and work ethic.
• Collaborate with the head coach, athletic staff, and other school departments to align the program with school goals.
• Engage with the school community, including parents, alumni, and local golf clubs, to promote the program.
• Assist with team logistics including scheduling practices, tournaments, travel, and equipment management.
