Job summary

Girard College seeks an Experienced Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach in instruction, development, and supervision of varsity golf student-athletes during both fall and spring seasons.

The assistant will promote a positive, disciplined, and respectful team environment while upholding the mission and values of Girard College, and will apply strong knowledge of golf fundamentals, rules, etiquette, and player development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred for eligibility.
• Coaching or competitive golf experience is required or preferred.
• Strong knowledge of golf fundamentals, rules, and etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in daily practices and match preparation.
• Support player instruction and skill development during practices and competitions.
• Help supervise student-athletes during all team activities.
• Assist with match-day operations, including scoring support and player organization.
• Monitor student-athlete behavior, attendance, and academic expectations.
• Assist with equipment care, storage, and inventory.
• Assist with transportation and supervision of student-athletes during travel.
