Job summary

Mason Public Schools is seeking a Varsity Girls Wrestling Head Coach. The role focuses on teaching fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship while developing student-athletes in-person at Mason High School.

The coach will plan practices, support athlete development, and collaborate with staff, serving as a positive role model and leader within the athletic program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and a High School graduate.
• Knowledge of coaching techniques and coaching psychology.
• Basic knowledge of first aid training and training techniques.
• Excellent character and ability to serve as a positive role model to student athletes.
• Willing to work cooperatively in all aspects of our interscholastic athletic program.
• Experience as a player and coach in this sport.

• Must be at least 18 years old and a High School graduate
• Knowledge of coaching techniques and coaching psychology
• Basic knowledge of first aid training and training techniques
• Excellent character and ability to serve as a positive role model to student athletes
• Willingto work cooperatively in all aspects of our interscholastic athletic program
• Experience as a player and coach in this sport

Desired Qualifications:

• Current First Aid Certification
• Current CPR Certification
• Verified internship under an experienced head coach or provide evidence demonstrating completion of the MHSAA program for Athletic Coaches Education
• Basic knowledge of prevention and care of athletic injuries
• Ability to relate well with students, parents, and school personnel

Job Description:

• Responsible for all aspects of the coaching position.
• Committed to attend conferences or meetings to support the school district.

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires long periods of standing, sitting, and walking.
• This position requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
• Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, with some travel to other schools.

Wage:

• MDMEA members: 10% per Schedule B or $5,075
