Job summary

ROCORI Schools is seeking a Head Girls Golf Coach who can lead a varsity program and work closely with the athletic director and high school principals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, commitment, and a clear vision for continued athletic success while focusing on student development.

You will coach, mentor and supervise a team of coaches, plan practices, ensure safety, and promote sportsmanship, character, and academic achievement.

Qualifications

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful varsity coaching experience in Golf.
• The head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.
• The head coach must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through his/her instructions and actions.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
• Coordinate and supervise staff of high school assistant coaches and middle school coaches in conjunction with the athletic director and respective principal.
• Support and implement athletic policies approved by the ROCORI Schools' Board of Education and ensure staff adherence.
• Mentor student athletes to develop character traits such as trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
• Duties include scheduling, transportation coordination, and ensuring safety and proper use of equipment.
