Job summary

ROCORI Public School District is seeking a coach to instruct student athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training, while promoting character development, self-discipline, and teamwork.

The coach will upgrade knowledge through clinics and observations, supervise staff, and coordinate with the athletic director and principals to maintain program quality and community trust.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and supervise a junior high activities program.
• Coaching experience or work with kids in activities.
• Willing to learn knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.
• Continuously examines new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
• Serves as an appropriate role model for student athletes through instructions and actions.

Responsibilities

• Has thorough knowledge of athletic policies and ensures staff implements them.
• Understands system, state and league regulations; interprets them for staff.
• Refers all requests or grievances through proper channels and attends required meetings.
