Proviso Township High Schools District 209 is seeking a Competitive Dance - Varsity Head Coach to lead and manage a dynamic high school program. The coach will work with students, faculty, administrators, and families to build a competitive athletic culture under the guidance of the Athletic Director.

The role emphasizes instructional leadership, student development, safety compliance, and collaboration with district staff to ensure a successful season and program growth.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Teaching Certificate (Type 03/09, or 10) or ASEP/NFHS Certification.
• CPR and AED certification per IHSA requirements.
• IHSA concussion awareness training and safety protocols.
• Background check and fingerprinting clearance.
• Title IX training completed.
• Coaching certification through ASEP/NFHS or IHSA-approved programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the program.
• Demonstrate leadership, supervision, and organizational skills for program implementation.
• Foster a cooperative, inclusive environment for students, faculty, parents, and fellow coaches.
• Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and communities.
• Inspire student-athletes and staff by modeling professionalism and dedication.
• Coordinate training plans and implement current best practices in the sport.
• Ensure compliance with IHSA rules, eligibility, and safety procedures.
