Proviso Township High Schools District 209 seeks a Varsity Head Coach for Competitive Cheerleading. You will lead and manage the athletic program, collaborating with students, faculty, and parents to build a competitive program under the Athletic Director's supervision.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois State Teaching Certificate (Type 03, 09, or 10) OR ASEP/NFHS Certification.
• CPR and AED certification for high school athletic coaches.
• IHSA concussion awareness training and safety protocols.
• Background check and fingerprinting clearance.
• Completion of federal Title IX training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the competitive cheer program.
• Demonstrate leadership and organizational skills in program implementation.
• Foster an inclusive environment for students, staff, and parents.
• Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and model professionalism.
• Coordinate training programs based on current best practices.
• Instruct athletes and assistant coaches in fundamental skills and strategies.
• Ensure compliance with IHSA, ISBE, and federal regulations.
