Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators is seeking a program supervisor responsible for the overall administration and safety of the athletic program. You will coordinate duties with assistant coaches and organize activities for in-season and off-season periods.

The role requires ensuring athlete eligibility, maintaining equipment, and communicating with parents and booster/community groups. CPR/AED certification and adherence to IHSA RBHS guidelines are essential.

Qualifications

• Professional Educator License (PEL), Substitute License (SUB) or ASEP Certification.
• ASEP Certified applicants must have completed: Coaching Principles/Orientation, IHSA State Test, Sport First Aid.
• Coaching experience at High School varsity level or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overall administration and supervision of the program.
• Ensure welfare and safety of all athletes.
• Assign duties to assistant coaches in the program.
• Develop and organize in-season and off-season activities.
• Manage equipment upkeep and inventory; end-of-season inventory.
• Coordinate equipment purchases as needed; suggest uniforms and supplies.
• Schedule interscholastic contests with the Assistant Principal of Athletics.
• Stay current with trends in the sport and professional practices.
• Maintain CPR/AED certification and compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure all participants meet eligibility requirements.
• Communicate with parents, Booster Club, PTO, and community organizations.
• Meet compliance obligations per Conference Calendar, IHSA, and RBHS Handbook.
• Attend required events/meetings with the Assistant Principal of Athletics.
• Incorporate Six Pillars of Character Counts into program philosophy.
