Job summary

Illinois Education Job Bank seeks a dedicated athletic program staff member to oversee high school sports activities. The role focuses on athlete welfare, supervising practices and games, and ensuring all eligibility and procedures are met.

Ability to communicate clearly with staff, students and stakeholders.
Decision-making under pressure with sound judgment.
Ability to resolve conflicts and build a collaborative program.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure welfare and safety of athletes in the program.
Supervise athletes’ workouts, practices, and games.
Verify participants complete required procedures before practices.
Maintain equipment and oversee program upkeep.
Communicate with parents and guardians.
Assist head coach with scheduling, transportation, paperwork, and fundraising.
Ensure participant eligibility and relations with Booster Club, PTO, or community groups.
Comply with Conference Calendar, IHSA handbook, and related policies.
Stay current with sport knowledge and trends.
Perform other duties as assigned by athletic leadership.
