Job summary

Shady Side Academy is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. The successful candidate will assist the head coach in developing and maintaining the Boys Varsity/JV Basketball Program in line with the academy's mission and Guiding Principles.

Qualifications

Minimum of two years coaching experience at high school, middle school, or club level preferred.
Excellent candidates with collegiate and club coaching experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, implement and follow through on an athletic program management plan for the boys basketball program.
Coordinate athletic planning, program development and assessment focusing on student-athletes' performance and leadership development.
Prepare student-athletes for competition and develop training/conditioning and skills development programs.
Maintain standards of team behavior and adherence to rules and policies of governing bodies.
Collaborate with the athletic department, head coach, staff and students to support retention and leadership development.
