Alden Central School District Athletics is seeking a dedicated Varsity Baseball Head Coach to lead the baseball program for the spring 2027 season. The role requires promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal responsibility while guiding student-athletes through practices, games, and off-season opportunities.

The successful candidate will cultivate a positive team culture, communicate effectively with families and staff, and ensure compliance with district and state procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching or leadership roles is expected.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, coaches, and staff.
• Commitment to sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise practices, contests, and team activities.
• Teach baseball fundamentals, strategy, rules, and safe techniques.
• Build a positive team culture with accountability, respect, effort and discipline.
• Model professionalism and represent the district positively at all times.
• Maintain clear, timely communication with student-athletes, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with JV and Modified coaches for development and continuity.
• Support academics and citizenship among student-athletes.
• Ensure safety procedures and equipment management are followed, including certifications.
