Job summary

Church Farm School in Exton, PA seeks an experienced head coach to lead the varsity baseball program with commitment to academic achievement, character development, and teamwork. You will mentor student athletes, set the tone, and foster a safe, competitive, year-round program in alignment with school and league policies.

The role requires prior coaching experience, strong communication, and the ability to work weekday afternoons and game days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of baseball coaching and/or playing experience at the high school and/or college levels.
• Demonstrated knowledge of baseball fundamentals, rules, and safety protocols.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
• Demonstrated experience successfully leading groups of young men.
• Willingness and flexibility to work a variety of days and hours across the season, including nights and weekends.
• Commitment to student athlete development year round.
• Familiarity with NCAA eligibility guidelines and the college recruitment process.
• Current valid driver’s license and willingness to drive nine-seat passenger vans.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the CFS baseball program with enthusiasm and maturity.
• Lead with integrity, holding staff and athletes to high standards while promoting sportsmanship.
• Be available for weekday afternoon practices and games.
• Create and implement off-season and pre-season player development.
• Support the school’s mission and core values through personal example.
• Ensure student athletes adhere to eligibility rules and grade requirements.
• Ensure program compliance with school policies and PIAA rules.
• Attend mandatory PIAA rules interpretation meetings yearly.
• Cultivate positive relationships with students, families, and the CFS community.
• Promote self-discipline and responsible decision-making among students.
