Job summary

Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (SCH) is seeking a varsity baseball head coach for the Upper School to lead the program from 6th through 12th grade, including JV and Middle School levels.

Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the head coach will develop training, recruit student-athletes, and implement competitive strategies in practices and games while collaborating with administrators, parents, alumni, and SCH coaches to promote academic success and athletic excellence.

Qualifications

• Previous high school/travel club coaching experience.
• Prior head coaching experience preferred.
• Prior independent school experience is a plus.
• Collegiate coaching experience is preferred but not required.
• Expertise, understanding, and passion for the sport of baseball.
• Commitment to academic success of student-athletes for collegiate level.
• Ability to attend all team practices, games, and events.

Responsibilities

• Instruct at Upper School level and oversee 6th–12th grade program including JV and Middle School.
• Recruit viable student-athletes to SCH and assist those aiming for college play.
• Plan and organize tryouts and practices with effective coaching techniques.
• Collaborate with athletic department, administrators, parents, alumni, and SCH coaches.
• Provide safe, competitive environment and maintain attendance records.
• Implements fundraising initiatives in line with department policies.
