Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of baseball coaching at high school varsity or collegiate level.
• Experience mentoring developmental athletes to improve fundamentals.
• Deep knowledge of NFHS baseball rules, scouting, and advanced statistical analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to inspire student-athletes.
• Ability to work flexible afternoon hours, including evenings for matches.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain before the season starts.
• Must possess California Driver's License (Class C) with clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead comprehensive practice sessions focused on advanced baseball fundamentals, position-specific drills, and complex game strategies.
• Manage all aspects of varsity games, including lineup cards, pitching rotations, and tactical decision-making.
• Oversee field safety and maintenance, ensuring equipment is in safe working order.
• Communicate regularly with the Athletic Director regarding progress, scheduling, and equipment needs.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and uniforms, coordinating with Athletics for seasonal needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents through clear communication regarding schedules and student progress.
• Coordinate transportation logistics for away matches by driving school vehicles.
• Promote Panther Pride by maintaining high standards of sportsmanship and academics.
• Attend required athletic department meetings and events.
