Job summary

St. John Paul II Catholic High School is seeking a Seasonal Varsity Coach to lead and develop student-athletes within a faith-centered athletic program. The role emphasizes strategic planning, supervision, and positive mentorship aligned with school values.

Responsibilities include organizing practices, implementing game plans, teaching sport fundamentals, and upholding NFHS/ethical standards while serving as a Catholic role model for students.

Qualifications

• Two years of varsity coaching experience in high school required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching or Positive Coaching Alliance certification; Safe Environment training; fingerprint clearance; concussion, heat and illness prevention, and other NFHS health/safety trainings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organization, planning, and implementation of practice sessions and game plans.
• Teach fundamentals, system, and techniques of the sport and the values of good sportsmanship.
• Maintain discipline and promote a positive Catholic role model for student-athletes.
• Attend coaching staff and Athletic Department meetings as needed.
• Oversee equipment inventory, transportation, and roster changes as directed by head coach and athletic director.
• Abide by coaching agreements and Athletic Code of Ethics; promote department and school philosophy and mission.
