Young World Physical Education in Avondale, Arizona, is seeking a part-time coach with previous high school varsity coaching experience. The ideal candidate should be certified in CPR and First Aid, and have completed necessary coaching trainings.
This role requires dedication to the sports program, maintaining discipline while fostering a positive environment for student-athletes, and participating in team meetings. A seasonal coaching contract is provided as approved by the Athletic Director.
Qualifications: Coaching and/or playing experience preferred in sport. Two years previous high school varsity coaching or equivalent required. Valid CPR and First Aid card. Must also be certified in the state required NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Class or certified in Positive Coaching Alliance. Must complete Diocesan Safe Environment Training and have current fingerprint card in addition to completion of concussion training, Heat and Illness Prevention, Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training and First Aid, Health and Safety courses (NFHS). Approved By: The principal as recommended by the Athletic Director and recruited by the Varsity Head Coach. Supervises: Student-athletes assigned and those portions of the athletic program as determined by the Varsity Head Coach. Job Goals: To carry out the aims and objectives of the sports program as outlined by the Varsity Head Coach while maintaining oneself as a positive Dominican role model.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Seasonal Coaching Contract as approved by the Athletic Director and/or Principal.
EVALUATION: Varsity Head Coach and Athletic Director, immediately following the conclusion of each season. This evaluation will be forwarded to the Principal with appropriate.
