Qualifications

• Coaching and/or playing experience preferred in sport.
• Two years previous high school varsity coaching or equivalent required.
• Valid CPR and First Aid card.
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certification or Positive Coaching Alliance certification required.
• Diocesan Safe Environment Training renewed yearly.
• Arizona Fingerprint clearance card required.
• NFHS Learn Courses: Bullying, Hazing, and Inappropriate Behaviors; Concussion in Sports; Heat and Illness Prevention; Sudden Cardiac Arrest; First Aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assists with organization, planning, and implementation of practice sessions and game plans.
• Teaches fundamentals, system, and techniques while promoting good sportsmanship.
• Maintains discipline and acts as a Catholic role model for student-athletes.
• Attends coaching staff and Athletic Department meetings as needed.
• Supports morale and cooperation within the athletic program.
• Dresses appropriately and supports the Varsity Head Coach and Athletic Director.
• Monitors roster changes and communicates injuries to the Head Coach.
• Attends conventions and professional clinics when assigned.
• Performs duties related to equipment, transportation, and event supervision.
