Sonsray is hiring a Van Conversion Craftsman in Vernon, CA. The role transforms commercial cargo vans into refrigerated vehicles, including framing, insulation, and interior installations.

You will work with wood, metal, fiberglass, and plastics, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The position requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with tools, and the ability to read instructions.

Qualifications

• Experience in van conversions or vehicle upfitting is preferred.
• Ability to work with wood, metal, fiberglass, insulation and plastics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Basic reading of verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare commercial cargo vans for refrigeration system installation and interior modifications.
• Install framing, flooring, walls, ceilings, bulkheads, and door assemblies.
• Measure, cut, and fabricate material for precise fit.
• Prep interior surfaces for framing and insulation.
• Install and trim insulation; follow PPE requirements.
• Inspect wiring routing and ensure safe operation.
• Operate hand/power tools and maintain a clean workspace.
• Perform quality inspections and adhere to safety policies.
