Job summary

Sonsray Inc. in Vernon, CA is seeking a Van Conversion Craftsman to transform commercial cargo vans into refrigerated vehicles, handling framing, insulation, fabrication, and interior installations. This role demands strong mechanical aptitude and precise workmanship.

You will work with wood, metal, fiberglass, insulation, and paneling, read and follow instructions, and lift up to 50 lbs. Benefits include medical, dental, and 401K, plus vacation, uniforms, boot voucher, and more.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in van conversions or related mechanical trades is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with hand/power tools and accurate measurements is required.
• Experience with wood, metal, fiberglass, insulation, and paneling is essential.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics are preferred.
• Liftgate experience and aluminum welding certification are pluses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare commercial cargo vans for refrigeration system installation and interior modifications.
• Install framing, flooring, walls, ceilings, bulkheads, and door assemblies per specs.
• Measure, cut, and fabricate wood/metal/fiberglass/insulation/paneling with precision.
• Inspect electrical wiring routing and ensure safe operation.
• Follow safety policies and PPE requirements; maintain a clean workspace.
• Travel to customer locations or other facilities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
