Job summary

Island Hospitality Management seeks a Part-Time Van Driver to assist guests with loading/unloading luggage and transport them to local points of interest near the hotel. The role requires professionalism, excellent communication, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Flex scheduling may be required, and candidate must be 21+ with a valid driver's license. Training and team support are provided as part of our hospitality family.

Description

Our team is looking to add an upbeat Part-Time Van Driver to be a key person of reference for guests through unloading and loading luggage and driving them to local points of interest near the hotel. To be successful in this role, you will need to extend professionalism and courtesy, have outstanding communication skills, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Job Requirements

• Must have a valid Driver's License and be 21 years of age
• Maintain vehicle mileage log at the beginning and end of each trip indicating mileage, time, name, and date
• Ensure vans are clean and all proper vehicle maintenance records are current
• Report all accidents and/or traffic violations immediately
• Perform vehicle inspection prior to each trip and upon return to the hotel

Job Qualifications

• Knowledge of local roads and routes to area attractions and points of interest
• Having a proper, valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
• Ability to work well in stressful situations
• Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service

The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
