UVA Community Health is seeking a Van Driver responsible for scheduling and transporting residents safely to various locations. The role includes maintaining vehicle readiness and responding to emergencies while ensuring clean, safe operations across UVA Health facilities.
This nonexempt position requires CPR/First Aid within 60 days, a Virginia driver's license in good standing, and the ability to drive a 14-passenger bus.
Will be transporting MAMO Winnebago from event to event weekly to any location UVA Health provides services with additional Public Safety/Emergency Management administrative duties as assigned when not providing transportation duties.

The Van Driver is responsible for scheduling and transporting residents safely to and from various locations. The team member assures maintenance of facility vehicles in a safe and clean operating condition. Performs all other responsibilities as assigned.
Communicates effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and all levels of authority.
Reviews processes, identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement.
Actively participates in identifying areas of opportunity to improve the experience for patients and guests.
High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year of experience working in long‑term care or assisted living preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
CPR/First Aid/AED within 60 days of hire required. Virginia Driver's license in good standing required.
Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer skills. Excellent customer service skills. Must have ability to drive 14‑passenger bus. VA Drivers record in good standing.

The base compensation range for this role is $16.00 - $21.65 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives that may be available for those in eligible positions.
