Job summary

Family Service Association in Mashpee, MA is seeking a part-time Van Driver for the Adult Day Health program. The role offers 30+ hours per week with an hourly rate of $20–$21.

Shifts are Monday through Friday, early morning and early afternoon, with a two-block split schedule to transport clients safely. Responsibilities include transporting participants, maintaining safety equipment, completing logs, and supporting site activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with elders or the disabled (ADH).
• Maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to safely push, pull, load and unload participants in wheelchairs.
• Ability to work with others as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and be enrolled in drug consortium for random testing.
• CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• Experience driving commercial vehicles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport program participants according to safety rules and DOT regulations.
• Secure and maintain safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Follow maintenance protocols and inform Transportation Coordinator of service needs.
• Report problems or maintenance concerns to the Transportation Coordinator.
• Keep vans clean and free of hazardous materials.
• Assist at sites as needed.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Ensure passengers wear seat belts and wheelchairs are secured per DOT rules.
• Maintain daily transportation logs and pre/post trip inspections.
• Drive para van as needed to meet transportation needs.
• Complete and turn in the Daily Passenger Log.

***$500 SIGN ON BONUS***

We are looking for a part time 30+ hours per week Van Driver to transport our clients for our Adult Day Health program in our Mashpee location. The hourly rate is $20-21 and the position is Monday through Friday split shift, 6:30 - 9:30am and 1:30 - 4:70pm.

The Adult Day Health Program is a medically-based program that helps the participant remain independent while promoting good health and well being.

Job Responsibilities

• Transport program participants according to established safety rules and road regulations, set by D.O.T.
• Secure and maintain all required safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Follow the Vehicle Maintenance Protocol and keep the Transportation Coordinator informed of all service needs.
• Report any problems or maintenance concerns to the Transportation Coordinator.
• Keep exterior and interior of vans clean and free of potentially hazardous materials.
• Assist at sites as needed.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Ensure that all passengers have secured seat belts at all times. Ensure wheelchairs are secure with tie downs at all times according to DOT regulations.
• Maintain a daily transportation log.
• Complete a Daily Pre and Post Trip Inspection Form.
• Will drive para van as needed to ensure transportation needs are meet.
• Ensure that the Daily Passenger Log is complete, signed and turned into the Site

Education and Experience

• Experience with either elders or the disabled (ADH).
• Maintain a valid driverslicense with good driving record/proven record of vehicle safety.
• Possess the ability to safely push, pull, load, and unload participants requiringwheelchairs.
• Possess theability to work with others as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Successfully pass a preemployment drugtest in addition to being enrolled in a drug consortium for random testing.
• Complete and maintain CPR and First Aid certified.
• Experience driving commercial vehicles preferred.

**Must be able to successfully complete a MA State CORI check, CPS check and company paid, pre-employment physical, drug testing and be enrolled in our drug and alcohol testing consortium.**
