Family Services Association is seeking a reliable Van Driver in Fall River, MA to transport participants for Adult Day Health Programs. Part-time position offering 30+ hours weekly with a $18.00–$19.00 per hour pay range and a $500 sign-on bonus.

Schedule is Monday through Friday with 3–4 hour routes within 5:00 AM–5:00 PM. Responsibilities include safe transport, safety equipment checks, assisting participants, and completing inspections and trip logs.

Qualifications

• Valid MA driver3 license is required.
• Good driving record and safety mentality.
• Ability to assist participants entering/exiting vehicles and using safety equipment.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and be enrolled in drug testing consortium.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Experience with elders or disabled (ADH) preferred.
• Experience driving commercial vehicles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport participants according to safety rules and DOT regulations.
• Ensure safety equipment is present, secured, and stocked before routes.
• Assist participants with entering/exiting and escort to/from residences or destinations.
• Secure walkers, canes, and wheelchairs inside the vehicle.
• Ensure passengers wear seatbelts and restraints at all times.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Follow maintenance protocols and report service needs.
• Maintain daily route logs and attendance.
• Keep vehicle clean and free of hazards.
• Report accidents to Transportation Coordinator.
• Drive for outings at various Adult Day Health Programs.
• Submit weekly mileage and gas reports.

$500 SIGN ON BONUS

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Van Driver to provide transportation for participants attending our Adult Day Health Programs in Fall River.

This part-time position offers 30+ hours per week with a pay range of $18.00 to $19.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday and consists of a split shift, with driving routes typically lasting 3 to 4 hours each within a service window of 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The Adult Day Health Program is a medically-based program that helps the participant remain independent while promoting good health and well being.

Job Responsibilities:

• Transport program participants according to established safety rules and road regulations, set by D.O.T.
• Ensure all required safety equipment is present, secured, and fully stocked before each route.
• Assist participants with entering and exiting the vehicle and escort them to and from their residence or destination using appropriate safety techniques and equipment, including gait belts when required.
• Secure all walkers, canes, and wheelchairs safely within the vehicle.
• Ensure all passengers have secured seatbelts and wheelchair restraints on at all times.
• Complete the daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspection sheets.
• Follow the Vehicle Maintenance Protocols and inform either the Assistant Transportation Coordinator or Transportation Coordinator of all service needs.
• Maintain a daily transportation log (route sheet) that includes drop off/ pick up times and participant attendance.
• Keep exterior and interior of vehicle clean and free of potentially hazardous materials.
• Report all accidents, major or minor, to the Transportation Coordinator.
• Serve as a driver for outings at various Adult Day Health Programs.
• Submit weekly trip reports consisting of mileage and gas receipts.

Education and Experience:

• Experience with either elders or the disabled (ADH).
• Maintain a valid driverslicense with good driving record/proven record of vehicle safety.
• Possess the ability to safely push, pull, load, and unload participants requiringwheelchairs.
• Possess theability to work with others as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Successfully pass a preemployment drugtest in addition to being enrolled in a drug consortium for random testing.
• Complete and maintain CPR and First Aid certified.
• Experience driving commercial vehicles preferred.

Must be able to successfully complete a MA State CORI check, CPS check and company paid, pre-employment physical, drug testing and be enrolled in our drug and alcohol testing consortium.
